It was only after I lost my last penny that I found peace

I was ravaged by losses in business. One by one I had to forgo all I had. Till my last tangible asset, my house. My savings, my wife's belongings, my cars had preceded.

The burning ambition which I had for success and prosperity had been dimming over the years. It was now only a question of survival. And survival was not even worth it.

And Peace? I didn't know what that word meant for a good part of my life.

It came only after losing everything. At a point when I had nothing more to lose. Nothing more to safeguard. No, it was not the peace of the surrender type. It was the peace born out of knowledge that what I had lost was not all I had. There's so much more within me which I am yet to discover.

This path of self discovery finally brought the peace I was seeking all my life.
