Sorry, the John Cale album is called Paris 1919, not 19191.

Paris 1919 by John cale from the album Paris 19191. It's about the end of the first world war and the meetings in Paris to try ensure a world conflict wouldn't happen again......but you know. I have to admit, I became addicted to this song when I heard it first.

Goodnight Saigon by Billy Joel. Obviously about young soldiers being drafted into the Vietnam conflict.

This is a song called "If you tolorate this then your children will be next" It's about the Spanish civil war and the rejection of the rise of facism in Europe. Since Hitler used this war as a testing ground for his own armies weapons, it's needless to say it was a very bloody conflict. A very good personal accound of the Spanish war can be found in George Orwells book "Homage to Catalonia"
