A rarely heard voice from Israel - that of peace activists. Well,it seems like I`ve met one of them here!! I`m so happy to meet u,Irit.I have always known that there are lots of good people from Israel and I know that there are many groups working for the same as I do;to free Palestine. But with your new government I`m afraid it could take some time.We just have to pray for peace all over the world.
Love from me

Dear Grete,
I can understand how shock you are, listening to those Israelis. There are many who might speak like this, but luckily enough, there are so many who speak with common sense and humanity and decency and well thinking - as you may find them here in iPeace.
But, it is wrong to make generalities. I am a Israeli, I meet people like the ones you have described, I do loath them -and I see it as my roll to make them see how wrong they are. Unfortunately,my success with this is quite limited. There are people, Israelis and others, who believe they are superior to other in any way - it is very difficult to teach them otherwise. It is a matter of education.
I hope you meet other Israelis and find out that not all of us are the same as the ones who you were telling about.

never ever dear Grete, this is a balance tool for us all,
light is in everyone, we are just mirrors, if we start to
consciously taking the way out of suffer and burden.
Blessings dear all lighthouses,
may all beings be happy. LoveLight-hugs, Elke

Thanks,Elke for this wonderful song. I hope u didn`t misunderstand me and believed that I hate Israelian,`cause I don`t. I know some amazing people there, but as I said I only meet the wrong ones!!Hate is for me a very strong word to use,but when it comes to the Zionists I have to admit I could use the word.Love from me

Today I have been talking to several people from Israel and I have to admit I`m kind of shocked. Noone could debate in a proper way, they were just saying a lot of offending comments about Palestinian people.I`m from Norway and one of them said he didn`t understand why I was so shocked over all the killed Palestinian because in Norway we killed whales!!!!!I`m still in shock!!!I don`t think I will talk to people from Israel anymore. Everybody I meet is full of shit! I do know there`s people from Israel which also are working for freedom in Palestine, but unfortunately I never meet them. I only meet the ignorante morons!I don`t think I can expose myself for people like that anymore-they really make me feel sick.

Hello friends,

I am excited to inform you that a large-scale international movement is forming to break the siege on Gaza, a siege that prevents desperately needed food, medical supplies and building materials from entering, and that prohibits the Palestinian people--including those with life threatening conditions--from free passage in and out.

Code Pink has once again been invited to Gaza by the United Nations Relief and Works Agency, this time with a focus on the needs of children. A delegation will be going from May 28th to June 5th. There is still time to join--see details below.

To broaden our scope and increase our numbers, some Code Pink delegates who participated in the International Womens Day trip are forming their own delegations. To date:

--Ali Glensek--currently studying at the American University in Cairo--is organizing a Students in Solidarity with Gaza delegation tentatively scheduled for May 25th-30th. Ali can be reached at aglenesk@berkeley.edu.

--Sandra Ruch--one of the Canadian Jewish women arrested at the Israeli Consulate in Toronto last January for protesting Israeli actions in Gaza--is organizing a Canadian delegation. Sandra can be reached at miriamswell@hotmail.com.

--Felice Gelman is organizing a New York delegation. Felice can be reached at rosahill@gmail.com

A Jewish Delegation attempting to enter Gaza from the Erez crossing in Israel is being discussed, as is a boat flotilla (see freegaza.org). The International Movement to Open the Rafah Border is organizing on-going sit-ins at the Rafah border. They can be reached at intmorb@googlemail.com

And for any of you who will be in Ottawa on April 20th, Kim Elliott has arranged for a presentation to the Canadian Parliament. Kim can be reached at kim@rabble.ca or contact Libby Davies, MP Vancouver East, daviel@parl.gc.ca

I won't be able to participate in the upcoming May/June trips due to prior commitments, but will be donating my airfare and trip costs to Code Pink. Please think about joining or donating what you can, and please spread the word to any group or person you think may be interested.

Thank you so much for your concern and support!

Joanna

"If you are neutral in situations of injustice, you have chosen the side of the oppressor."--Desmond Tutu

Dear Friends,

In March, a 60-person CODEPINK delegation traveled to Gaza to pay tribute on International Women’s Day to the sorely neglected mothers, daughters, sisters and wives who are struggling to hold their families together. We witnessed the terrible destruction from the 22-day Israeli invasion; met with inspiring human rights, health and women’s organizations; and delivered 1,000 gift baskets to women who told stories of profound personal loss.

The people of Gaza greeted us with love and appreciation, and asked us to return with more delegations. We listened, and our next “expedition” will be from May 28-June 5. We will travel, via Egypt, at the invitation of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) and our focus will be on the children of Gaza. Children make up more than half of Gaza’s population, and this next generation – who will help decide the future of the region – is struggling with extraordinarily high rates of malnutrition, homelessness and depression.

Of course, there is always the possibility that the Egyptian government won’t let us cross the border—in fact, many individuals and delegations have been denied entry. In that case, we plan to set up an encampment near the border to call attention to the need to open the borders and end the siege of Gaza.

See more details below. For more information or to sign up, contact gaza.codepink@gmail.com or call 415-558-5700. Space is limited, so contact us asap. We also are planning a Jewish delegation to enter Gaza through the Israeli crossing, and are facilitating the entry and participation of groups from other organizations in the following weeks.

So, spread the word. We hope you will join us!

Sincerely,
Tighe Barry, Medea Benjamin, Gael Murphy, Pam Rasmussen, Ann Wright

Sure they do and I have also seen several videos with people from Israel who are demonstrating against their own country. I really respect people like that.Like I said;in the bottom,I have nothing against them
