why, men have wondered
shaving eyebrows was then the style
her smile.....we have oft pondered

A Da Vinci original is the claim
even without signature fame
the painting in fact is not signed
style the same without Da Vinci name

Was she a Da Vinci male model in drag
or possibly an aristocratic wife some brag
No one can say who she was for certain
tho' she draws curiosity of many a person

Five hundred years have passed since her creation
many generations have passed and still no clarification
of who she is or was, could or might have been
no matter, for she is forever embedded in the hearts of men.
