The Idea is to organise , a demonstration ,to show public stance against war.
It sounds quite simple .However there are things to be dicussed , agreed on, and done until this will happen.Such as ,
date
place(s) - public squares etc
Spreading the message , how to ,
and enything else that you people think that is necessary.

So let's start talking about it

Hi, I am glad that you got this up and running! Thanks. I think it is a good idea to spread the word and organise an event or series of events before summer.
Hi

`in the UK there have been groups of people that have organised a mass of people to meet at a pre decided public place on a set time and date and perform a pre rehearsed dance. This has always received a lot of media coverage, not sure if it is still allowed in UK though. It gives off such a happy vibe and is very entertaining for people to watch. You could make it world wide by having one of these dances in every time zone at say 4 in the afternoon, so plenty of time for it to be picked up for the evening news. I'm not a correographer? but a friend of mine on this site is and I am sure that between all of us we could select a catchy memorable tune and the copywrite holder once he/she knew the reason for wanting to use their song would be more than happy to give their permission. A colour theme would also be a good idea for arm band, head band etc. even a dress theme might be an idea, they could all dress in 70's hippy clothes.

Hey clayclream,
having the event at 4 in each time zone sounds like a good way to tie the events together. I like the idea of hats or arm bands something to show solidarity. Specific flags colors something like that seems to be needed even though we might do different things. Or a variety of things... have tables with letters to send to say the UN or our elected officials perhaps or to promote weekly events. For example here weekly a small group of people stand protesting the war... every Friday afternoon. Any other ideas on this?
