El hielo bajó a su mínima extensión del 2008 el 12 de septiembre, cuando cubrió 4,52 millones de kilómetros cuadrados, y ahora parece estar creciendo a medida que el Artico inicia su temporada de enfriamiento, dijo el Centro Nacional de Nieve y Hielo de Estados Unidos.
