I am an admirer of wise women and those that society calls witches. Have you read "The Green Woman" by Meghan B. Collins, in Jack Zipes' anthology "Don't Bet On The Prince"?
I also have written a story trying to introduce children to a favourable attitude towards healing women and "witches": "The Witch And Her Two Guests" (a retelling of the Hansel and Gretel story).
