Unforgettable Music

Music and singing have the ability to go straight into our souls and leave indelible impression. Not always for the musical beauty but more depending on who sang or played and what time in your life it was. Each song has a memory associated with it. The further back the stronger impression and it is often a period of life which is linked to it. Who can not remember their childhood songs?. Perhaps a beloved person sang or played for you. Let us get a bit nostalgic and go back through time and share that music and song our hearts never forget ...

When I was a child and my family came together they were singing. Very often spiritually songs. This was one of them. Terrible quality, terrible video in general. But for me it has a value since it belongs to happy moments in my childhood. My mother had a wonderful voice and I can hear her .. and I can see a happy family singing together...

The first record we had in my family was "Blueberry Hill" with Louis Armstrong.  I was just a little child but I danced to it. My mother and grandmother were the audience and applauded  Such strong memories with these "dancing performance" :)

.
So teens.... A period in my life where ELVIS was written all over it ;)

How he with his songs made it easier to fall in love,,,

So I met the love of my life in France. This song he played and sang for me over and over again. It was now the revolutionary epoch :) An Bob Dylan was our hero

BUT NOW ENOUGH ABOUT ME. BASTA!!! Which musical memories have you?

So disturbing. There are so many videos that we cannot see in this country :(
Like the first one you added joni for example. Wonder why it is so?
But I know it. It's a great song too *smile*

Welcome Melody

And I'm glad I struck a cord with this Nat King Cole *smile*
and thanks for telling us this nice story about your family.

Yes music has always played an important role in people's life, so many memories are attached to it, Both happy and sad...

It is those memories this group want to reflect

Thank you, for bringing my father back for "today". Nat was one of his favorites, as well as Perry Como, Artie Shaw and the era of swing. I love to listen to my mother talk about her stories from days back when, long before she ever met dad. She was raised in Oakland Ca, across the bay from the city of San Francisco, when dance hall was big. There was nothing that would stop her and friends when they heard that maybe Tommie Dorsie was in town. Have a great day...Love

Welcome David and Drew

To this old and somewhat dusty group ;) Where we do not have to be "fancy" in our music selection. Just close to the feeling that a certain melody once gave us.
And share them with all of us *smile*
