Our Mission

Voice for Peace, based in Bajaur Agency, Pakistan, promotes peace and the rule of law while seeking to extinguish violence, corruption, and terrorism. Voice for Peace promotes education and sustainable employment as tools that can deprive terrorists of new recruits, thus helping develop a more peaceful society. Originally founded with a vision of building schools to serve youth, mothers, and others in Pakistan’s neglected tribal areas, the advent of war has spurred Voice for Peace to expand its mission, cooperating with the United Nations, the Government of Pakistan, and other organizations to help meet the immediate needs of people displaced by systemic violence.
Voice for Peace seeks an end to violence in Bajaur Agency and the world, and is committed to promoting education, sustainable employment, and the rule of law without resorting to violence in any form. Voice for Peace affirms the innate and equal worth of every human being, and calls on every person and organization throughout the world to acknowledge this essential truth in word and action.

Welcome my dear friend Les for joining the Voice For Peace. Your presence here is really a blessing for all of us. Now I am hopeful the Voice For Peace cannot be ignored. I just received a phone call from my wife Fatima that some missiles have been fired on the area in which we have been living. At the moment I am in Peshawar and my wife and children are living in Bajaur Agency. There is great panic in Bajaur Agency. My wife told me that the security forces and terrorists have engaged in the fighting. My dear friend Les, I am really grateful to you for joining the Voice For Peace.
I want to say welcome to the new members in the Voice For Peace. Please spread the Voice For Peace to the maximum number of people. Again thank you. Please pray for the peace as at the moment we have been facing some trouble.

Thank you very much my dear friend Jane Young for your comment. I am really grateful to you for your continued love and kindness. I am still needing your prayers as the fighting is going on in my areas. Hundreds of people have been killed in two days fighting in Dir District situated near Bajaur Agency. I am just sharing a news with you. Around 30,000 people in Lower Dir have been displaced by a military offensive to flush out Taliban militants, a provincial minister said Tuesday.

‘Up to 30,000 people have left Maidan in Lower Dir district over the past few days,’ Iftikhar Hussain, the NWFP information minister, told a news conference.

‘We are making arrangements for them in Peshawar, Nowshera and Timargarah districts.’ Residents said thousands of terrified people, mostly women and children, left the area with their belongings after Pakistan troops and helicopter gunships launched the operation over the weekend.

One local charity said it had registered 2,241 displaced families so far.

The NWFP information minister has justified the Dir operation saying it was a consequence of the Taliban challenging the writ of the government.
