My horse is close to 10 times my weight.
I do not have any physical means to over power him,
thought as in the case below, I have the means to outsmart him.
I think too, he respects this about me the more.

To control the horse, I must control his mind,
to control his mind I must control his heart.
To do that, means giving him all of my own.
It is the small brain of the horse, that controls where his feet are placed,
on the ground, or my forehead.
His brain may be small,
His heart is large enough to overpower it.

So I do not beat nor intimidate nor convince him he is my subordinate,
I give him all of my heart, in honor and respect of him as an individual,
as if a challenge, who, has the greater honor.
He in turn seeks to honor me higher than I can honor him.

In this teaching,
I so love the earth that my mind finds way to live with it,
and I give my life to that cause, in honor of the life, the earth has given me.

Before I get into the saddle,
I have him show me that he is one of honor enough towards me,
that he has any right to wear it.

In this picture he is impatient, almost agitated,
his stance and tail swishing,
he was not being patient while I tied the knot to use his lead rope as reigns.
He is the one pulling me by the shirt sleeve to get into the saddle.

In this I have more, that one who would dominate a horse,
"make" the horse wear the saddle and you have to then chase the horse and have him against a wall so he cant move away while putting the saddle on him.
With mine I hold the saddle up, and he puts himself under it.
If he fails to, I will not put it on him!
He has to earn the right to wear it, not be forced on him.
And I never use a bit on him.
I do not have a horse who does what I say by the back of my hand,
I have one who would give his life in service to me,
with all of his heart.

It is spirit, that I hold, that is my only control over this horse.
By giving him my spirit, and he being compelled to return it.
By giving him honor and worth, and him being compelled to return it,
and our spirits become one.
I do not ride him, we travel together as a team.
Much the same, my spirit wills my heart, which wills my mind, which wills my hands.
Mastery of the first, leads to mastery of the rest.
When the hands catch up with the spirit, there is harmony :D
same wavelength :D

I think you and I are on the same wavelength. In the beginning it is something physical, but the true mastery is something of the spirit. It is something to do with harmony with everything.

Hi, I think iPeace may be around for a while, and like a garden some areas may not grow to fast? But the tall trees do not produce fruit in their first season.
I know only some of the martial arts, but the kind I use most are not much in way of physical. I battle evil.

To provide an example.
After my horse was stolen from me, his mind was a bit messed up. He had attacked almost everyone before he met me. And I could since this same mind set was going on with him after I got him back (beaten?).
I made myself vulnerable towards him, even turning my back on him.
And, he charged me!
It was a 'set up' so when he was close enough I spun around, one hand near the top of his head and the other hand near is nose, twist, then side stepped and pulled his head with me, and flipped him.

But the important thing to this story, is that had he NOT attacked me?
I could not have harmed him.
Nor did I attack him, but, USED the force of the attack against him.

I do this same thing while fighting evil. And its not physical.
Evil is not physical other than through individuals under its influence.
Let me know if you follow where I'm going with this and if interested and if your still even at iPeace.
I may be leaving myself shortly depending on certain things I still have to learn before I can make that choice based on some things I'm picking up, and again, what I fight is no man, but hides in them often and normally, without the human even realizing it.
I come in peace, in the name of all life on earth.

thanks for the support. I was actually thinking of deleting the group because of lack of interest.
