Great news for all my friends and well-wishers. Your prayers have finally worked for me and my family as I got job in Peshawar. I have been offered the job of media advisor by the Emergency Response Unit.

Today I am going to share a good news with you. I got the job, a very interesting job. The government of North West Frontier Province has set up Emergency Response Unit for helping the internally displaced persons of Malakand division and tribal areas where the army has been carrying out a big operation. I have been appointed a media advisor in the ERU. Though this will be a difficult job for me as I have still been considering the government of Pakistan responsible for this big human tragedy, but I have no other option except accepting this job as I have to feed my wife and my children. I am really grateful to all my friends and peace lovers, who prayed for me and my family. I shall specially mention the name of my dearest friend luisella valeri as she played the role of an angel for me in hour of trial. Thank you very much my dear friend. May God the Great give you all the happiness in this life and in the life hereafter.

I want to share some information about the ERU with you.

Emergency Response Unit (ERU) has been setup to strengthen the working of the Provincial Relief Commissionerate (PRC) to provide shelter and relief to the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs), migrated to down districts of NWFP from Buner, Swat & Dir Districts due to military operation carried out by the security forces against the miscreants.

The Government has setup 8 new camps to accomodate the incoming IDPs of Malakand Division which brings the total number of existing IDP camps to 17 in NWFP. The IDPs are also registered outside the Camps as Host Families or Off Camp IDPs.

The humanitarian assistance provided by the UN agencies, National & International NGOs and the Provincial & Federal Governments of Pakistan are immense, however, it is impossible to provide similar standard of living to these IDPs, which they were enjoying in their places of origin.

Background:

The migration of these IDPs started before the Holy Month of Ramazan in July / August 2008. Initially around 100,000 IDPs were registered, however, with the announcement of cease fire by the Government in the Month of Ramazan, almost all the registered IDPs returned back to their homes. Due to retaliation from the militants during the month of Ramazan and start of clashes between secuity forces and the armed opposition, a large number of IDPs fled back to the settled districts of NWFP.

Buner Conflict:
In April 2009, the Taliban took control of Buner, after a short battle with local residents. Self-styled Sharia rules were imposed, like the elimination of video stores, ban on shaving, and the prevention of women from appearing in public places.

Two months of calm in Malakand division due to the peace deal between NWFP government and Tehrik-e-Nifaz-e-Shariat-e-Muhammadi (TNSM), was disrupted when the Taliban entered Buner and established strongholds in some areas of Buner. After initial resistance by the local population in which they badly hampered the march of Taliban, the Taliban succeeded in taking control of the area. The Commissioner of Malakand Division moderated negotiations between the militants and local population. The local residents were convinced of militant withdrawal from the area and the militants agreed they would abandon militant activities. The resistance of the local population was called off. But the militants’ withdrawal was deceptive. They started their activities which resulted in the launch of the military operation in district Buner. The Taliban were in control of Sultan Wus, Gokand Dara, Pir Baba, Pacha Kallay, Ambella Pass, Koga and Chinglai the areas of Buner. While they were using routes of Sangar and Karakar Pass for transportation and supply of arsenals from Swat.

The government has set up camps in Swabi, Mardan and Nowshera for the IDPs coming from Buner and trying its level best to provide all the basic facilities to this massive displacement.

Swat Operation:
After launching operation in District Buner, the Taliban retaliated in Swat. The miscreants started attacks on security check posts, warehouses, and started kidnapping and beheading the security personnel. The militants have attacked the NGOs' offices and looted equipments, vehicles and food items. On May 6, 2009, the security forces started operation in Mingora city and nearby areas. The militants entered the houses and used humans as shield.

The electricity is suspended to most of the areas in the district including Mingora where more than 0.5 million people are living. Due to electricity failure, the citizens are facing shortage of water. The continuous curfew in the main city has resulted in shortage of food commodities.
The people who are stuck up in the area are facing shortage of water, food commodities and medical facilities as there is no electricity and transportation.

Thank you very much my dear friends luisella valeri and Antonia for your prayers and good wishes. May God the Great give you all the happiness in this life and in the life hereafter. I am hopeful the day of our success is very near as now the people have been realising the importance of peace. This will be my happiest day to host a party for all my friends in Bajaur Agency. My grandmother, who is above hundred, will be the happiest woman at the day when you arrive to Bajaur Agency. My grandmother is very interesting woman. Actually my grandfather was poet so my grandmother has great sence of humour. She is really very nice and good woman. I think the soul of my mother will be happy when you arrive to her village. My wife and my children will dancing at the party. That will be the happiest day of my life. I am hopeful the day will come.
At the moment the situation is very serious for me and my family as there is still fighting in and around Bajaur Agency. I am needing your prayers and good wishes. Millions of people have been needing your prayers and good wishes.

Peace in your heart and so you may share peace to all!
All we women are with persons that consider with as : "We will not raise our children to kill another mother's child"
Peace is not a struggle, is a being in coscience and to share peace it's necessary to consider every being sacred and to become able to harmonize all toghether and each one! Education, culture, change in mind...so difficult but so important! Hope you can do peace. we are praying for you, your family, your people (more than a million...half children and women...). God bless you and may you feel peace and unconditioned love in your hear, acting compassion to all!
Smiles
Luisella

My dear friend luisella valeri, I want to stay in Bajaur Agency till my death as at the moment I am the only person in the area speaking in favour of peace. The population of Bajaur Agency will be more than a million. More than half of the population will be women and children. May be I shall play a role for saving the lives of some innocent people. With your support now I am able to challenge the cruel terrorists and some officials to stop the killing. Believe me your support and prayers are working for me. I am just writing to convey a message of peace and love to the whole humanity. If the angels like you are with me then I have no fear. I am hopeful of better days. I am hopeful of peace in Bajaur Agency and whole world. I am just needing your prayers. I am feeling no hesitation that you have a special soul. Yours good wishes will certainly work for me and my family. But I am staying in Bajaur Agency because I want to save the innocent people. Keep the faith no can harm me. God the Great is helping me in my struggle. I shall be praying that may God the Great give you all the happiness in this life and in the life hereafter if there is any.
