Well, for one thing just the simple fact of drawing for the sake and fun of doing it helped me feel like a kid again... you know, when you do things just because you like them and not only because you should them? :0)

Also, I got my pencils, pen and brushes back, and I remembered how much I loved drawing and painting when I was little.

I started drawing mandalas last year, after I begun a teraphy called "psycho-spiritual integration," and the therapist suggested I started drawing mandalas as a form of prayer, of reencountering with my higher self and my inner self.

Truly amazing, and he was right!

I'm glad I found that therapist, mandalas, this group, this wonderful network of people.

I volunteer for a local library, and I suggested whether next year we get organized with local schools and teachers, and ask the kids to draw mandalas inspired by what they understand by Peace. We can run a contest, an exhibition to celebrate Peace Day. Let's see where this gets us ;-)

I also believe in the healing power of mandalas ;-) They also helped me reencounter my inner child, and that's a blessing.
