SOUNDS of PEACE

Sounds of Peace intends to bring the real sound of Peace in your voice to every one. Through a Flash based audio poster we'll be able to hear the spoken word of Peace – Shalom – Salam – Paz and all other languages (forgive not to mention them).

Sound of Peace might be back ☊

On July 4th 2009 I have abandoned my ship due to slow Internet connection of my Mac but now I'm back. The idea of a world map of "Peace" sound recordings all over the globe by members like you is still actual and I'm trying to recruit some experience people to this mission.

In my vision you'll see a worldwide map with icon pins wherever someone has recorded the word Peace in his language, uploaded it to the site. For instance, you'll see a Peace sound icon on the map in my town in Israel and when you'll click on it you'll be able to hear the spoken word "Shalom", which means Peace in English. That's the idea in short.

So hope for the good my friends and forgive me all of you who expected to see me here earlier.

To anyone in our group who wishes to combine the "SOUNDS of PEACE" logo in a visual contribution, feel free to download the logo on the white background below – it's in Png format which keeps the background clear when you paste it on a visual (like Jpg or Png). If you'll have a difficulty send me a personal message and I'll help.

Greetings to Opher and Francis "Grey Wolf",
I'm glad to see you here and thanks for the encouraging words. Nature sounds in my eyes (or rather in my ears) are the ultimate words of Peace, or shall we call it the Music of Peace. After sunset we enjoy the jackals yowling around our home on mount Carmel and that's the ultimate inspirational communication blessings. During the day we enjoy our yard birds twitting and whistling and that's a true joy.
May we all be able to enjoy it in peace,
Care4u

Dear iPeace friends,

SOUNDS of PEACE is a new initiative to make the spoken word of peace be heard. While PEACE IN MY LANGUAGE shows the written word of Peace in various languages and cultures, here we plan to create a Flash interface designed as a poster or based on our world map. Passing the mouse over a country (if map will be the basis) or a flag, or your portrait will play PEACE in your language (like "Shalom" in Hebrew, in my case). Each one of you will be able to upload his "Peace" Mp3 recorded file and it will be linked to his avatar (potrait/icon) or country.

I am still checking the technical 'problems" and will be glad if anyone among you can assist in that field.

So, there is a new way of expressing Peace which worth expecting for.
Have a peaceful week,

iCare4u
