Medicine Buddha - Baishajyaguru (Sanskrit) Sangye Menlha (Tibetan)

The Medicine Buddha is the buddha of healing, who is invoked to care for the sick and the frail. He wears the monastic robes of a Buddha and sits on a lotus blossom upon a lion throne. His body is dark blue and holds an iron bowl in his left hand filled with medicinal plant arura. He may also be shown as holding a stem of the arura plant in his right hand. Eight medicine Buddhas are often depicted in the company of Shakyamuni at the apex.

Green Tara with Her Twenty-One Emanations (Drolma Nyer-chig)

The central figure is the Green Tara or the “Green Saviouress”, is the patron goddess of Tibet and represents the motherly aspect of compassion. Her body is green and sits in the centre surrounded by her twenty-one emanations. Above her is the Amitabha Buddha(Lord of the Lotus Family) in the centre, to the left is Atisha and on the right is Guru Padmasambhava. She sits in the royal posture on a moon disc and lotus flower, her right leg extended with its foot resting on a small lotus blossom. The right hand of the Green Tara is in the giving gesture while her left hand is in the refuge gesture and each hand holding a stem of a blue/white lotuses of compassion.
