- Generally speaking, most Human beings are not trying to become better human beings. They are simply holding on to whatever they can get, materially, and resenting those who are better off. The human race will cause its own demise unless each and every one of us can be free from suffering and poverty. Those who have, want to either keep it to themselves, or be the ones to decide how to help the world. There is no team work. Arrogance and greed and power grabbing are more and more prevalent.

Peace is just like a good relationship with the world and everything and everyone in it. We have to begin with ourselves. How kind we are to ourselves, how patient we are with ourselves, will come through in how we are with other people, animals, our belongings, etc. So, I believe the first step toward a peaceful world must be to learn how to be at peace with ourselves.
