More: I am a poet, have 4 volumes of poetry to publish as my next goal in life. As a woman in poverty, I feel I have always been reaching up.

More about me: I'm still a woman in poverty, with significant disabilities, living on Social Security. Yet, my voice is strong. And my words are my legacy. Here is one of my poems, written May, 15th, 1990.
Can you see her shimmering in the dusk
Your lake of forgotton dreams?
Can you get to the shore
Through the thick brush and thistles?
Can you wade in her shallow waters?
or will you leap in a boat
and sail to the center
to the deepest part
and remember yourself?
Who you are...
Who you were...
Who you shall be.
Your dreams are still there!
Run to them.
Feast on them!
Let them take you to the
farthest shore.
Let them walk with you into
the sunset of your life.

The Healthcare Fallen Memorial

We watch our loved ones die because the healthcare system in our country has abandoned them.

The Healthcare Fallen Memorial is a place to keep them alive in our memory when all else has failed.

Here you can post pictures, videos and stories of your family, friends and neighbors who have died on our own soil because they could not get healthcare.

We will never forget their struggle to live.

I think it’s brilliant from California to confess you live in Poverty. That would really amaze people living in Poverty in Africa. They wouldn't believe it till they see that and Internet can make it possible one day. Who knows? Maybe put a big screen in the middle of Kibera slums (approximately one million people living there) and show them a film of poverty in California and tell them that that’s the same area where the big Movie stars live. They will be knocked off by it.

By the way, a few years ago when Germany made economy and social reforms some unemployed people started getting hungry. A group of people in Kenya who have being getting some help from Germany sympathized with Germany and send some packets with coffee and tea as help for the ones who can't afford the stuff. This world is real crazy
