At the beginning of time, we had no true sense of what our faces looked like. Perhaps a cave woman saw her rippling reflection while foraging for snails. Not until polished steel and glass were invented did we see a clear reflection. Only recently have we had the reality smooth glass mirrors that adorn our homes. Not long ago we conceived and experimented with photography. We've just barely begun to get a handle on the memory and ability of video to capture our likenesses in time.
Are there still ways in which we have to see ourselves? What mirror is left unmade? Much as the troglodyte saw her reflection in the pond, as human, we have only ever seen a rippling reflection of our souls. Conception of a mirror to our soul is ancient indeed. Modern time has had no idea until now.
I want to meet my soul
Namaste OM Shanti The Divine in me recognizes the Divine in you and acknowledges we are the same. I wish you all pervading eternal peace.
As an omage.., visionary French architect Étienne-Louis Boullée designs his Cenotaph for Newton in 1784, a giant sphere; believing that the sphere represents the most perfect expression of the sublime. The divine architecture of the dome used throughout time only tells half of the story. Just as human religion is incomplete, so will remain our experience of the soul until the realization of the full sphere as a place of reflection upon creation and the ultimate experience of the self (GOD)is realized.
