Profile Information

When it comes to peace, how would you describe yourself?
I'm just a peaceful person
What do you believe are the 'burning issues' today?
War, Hunger, Poverty, Education, Our Planet, Violence, Inflation, Human Rights, Our Shrinking Freedom
So what is it?
We need to get away from a war torn world and Choose Life and Peace
What must we overcome to achieve peace?
Other
More
All the above have something to do with being an obstacle to peace. People need to come together and overcome their differences in religions and relise we are all One. Get over fear, prejudice, and greed and all the negative emotions and Choose Life instead , for ourselves and are brothers and sisters.
Can we change the world?
Definitely
More about me
I've always admired the community started in the 70's , called The Farm in Tennesee with Stephen Gaskin and the fact that they were indepentent of the outside world by growing their own food , building their own homes , even having their own book publishing
company. Also , in the 70's , I attended a Rainbow Gathering of the
Tribes up in Oregon and greatly admired how they learned to be
indepentent all the things we find ourselves depentent on in the
city. I lived in a little community for awhile we called
the "Ranch"where we shared music and food , houseing and visions ,and went to a
lot of Grateful Dead concerts up in the Bay Area , which I loved. I love our
connection to the earth. I feel we can learn from all the diffrent cultures of the earth and
what visions they can share with us.I feel Gaia places our different
traditions and back grounds into a holistic unifying context. They can be seen as
different flowers growing in a garden. Each tradition that everybody
brings is like a different color thread in a tapestry. We are weaving
a tapestry of multi-colors , the pagentry of life , and the inner-
connecting cycles with the earth--if you have all the same color
thread ,then you hav'nt got anything. I feel there's a oneness to all life and we can share the value, worth, and dignity of all people and their life experiences and spiritual beliefs.Where we have an "I-thou" approach to people and the earth that honors the life sourse in them and the ecology that surrounds and sustains us , as opposed to the "I-it" approach that depersonalizes the world and makes people feel seperated from it.Your group has a very positive outlook on life ,helping people and putting smiles on their faces. I think that is great.I would very much like to communicate with your comunmity and possibly participate and bring my best vibes too. . Thank you , Brad.
