What do you believe are the 'burning issues' today?: War, Hunger, Poverty, Education, Our Planet, Violence, Human Rights, Other

More about me: I have been against war since my country was at war against Vietnam and it continues today with Afghanistan and Iraq. I know that it is in the power of all humans to resolve their differences through dialogue; I just hope that my children live long enough to see a time when war ceases to exist as a way to solve disagreements. I am not naive to the evil in the world; I just know there is a better, more peaceful way.

I am the proud grandmother of 3 girls and a great grandmother to one girl. I love being a grandmother!!!

I also have a great passion for all living creatures. Although I've never owned one, I adore horses and volunteer with them when I can. I truly feel as one when I'm with a horse!

My boyfriend and I put several thousand miles on our motorcycle each year. It's a great joy to ride and be able to feel the air, smell the scents of the earth, and just enjoy being out in nature!

And lastly, my one true addiction is books. I cringe when I think there may come a day where all books end up online. There is nothing like sitting down with a book and spending time absorbing all the words! It's a great way to relax!

They are such amazing animals and i feel so blessed and happy that i can spend my time with love and joy, with horses.I.teach riding as part of my working life and i have learnt to be patient and still, and that working as part of a team with love and understanding helps acomplish so much more.
They can teach us all so much.
