What must we overcome to achieve peace?: Economic disparities

More: Disparity between rich and poor, fear of not having"enough",

Can we change the world?: Definitely

More about me: Retired Microbiologist and Sanitarian. Businesses quite often forget that their product's quality and the standards that are required to maintain the quality are never as expensive as product recalls and the resultant negative publicity and the head office and the consumer's lack of trust. In Canada we have recently had two product recalls. Example of former, Hershey Canada - Salmonella in the candy - plant closure within 18 months; the latter - Maple Leaf Foods - Listeria in sliced meats - 40% less sales and $35 million class action suit.

Dog, Cat & Rat

Another example the human race could learn from!
Here's one of the strangest things you'll ever see.
This is a video of one of a homeless man in Santa Barbara and his pets. They work
State Street every week for donations. The animals are pretty well fed and are mellow.
They are a family. The man who owns them rigged a harness up for his cat so she
wouldn't have to walk so much (like the dog and himself). At some juncture the rat came
along, and as no one wanted to eat anyone else, the rat started riding with the cat and, often,
on the cat! The dog, will stand all day and let you talk to him and admire him for a few
chin scratches. The Mayor of Santa Barbara filmed this clip and sent it out as a holiday
card. Perhaps some of us could learn a thing or two from these animals!
