What must we overcome to achieve peace?: Hatred

More: Children have learned to hate other countries and then they grow and continue to grow in hate. We need to stop and learn to love and respect differences among people. Even within a same country.

Can we change the world?: Definitely

This is me

Well, hi. I am a women who is the result of a mixture of many cultures. My dad was part Lebanese, part Mexican (Mayan descent) and my mom is part Italian (raised in the USA) and part Cuban. I consider myself Mexican-American.
I am married and have a 30 year old daughter who is also married and has 2 small children (I´m Nonna to them). I also have a 10 year old daughter and 12 year old twin boys (they are my husband´s from his first marriage, but their mom passed away, so now they are my children - so to speak).
I recently retired from 22 years of service in Mexico in the Finance department of an international company, and now I enjoy doing translations, coaching, doing some training on positive thought, working from my house, where I can be close to my mom, husband, children and Grandchildren!
I am a strong believer in what positive thought can do, specially regarding peace!
I love being a woman, a mother, a daughter, a grandmother, a wife, a worker, a friend, a learner.

25 Random things I like.
I like warm days in Atotonilco (a small town where we have a little weekend house).
I love raising my children.
I love to cook and invite friends and family to my house.
I love changing my house for Xmas, and Saint Valentines, and Halloween, etc.Ha.
Chocolates mmm....
I love it when my daughters and my grandaughter kiss me.
I study Tanatology (to help people deal with their losses).
I want to study Logotherapy (based on studies by Viktor Frankl).
I wrote a book with 23 other women which are important in my life and I will soon publish it.
I love music, especially Jazz.
I love my mom and miss my dad - he passed away 23 years ago.
I believe in myself.
I laugh (and cry), I am a very emotional person.
I love theater, specially if I can be on the stage acting!
Musicals are my favorite type of movies, specially the old ones.
I am grateful for every day I´ve lived
I love traditions
I have a strong belief in God; Faith is my companion.
I try to live each day with a positive view of things.
I enjoy being a woman.
I love surprises.
I´m a good friend
I am very happy to belong to iPeace
Lorenzo my grandson warms up my heart when he smiles.
Most of all I love Xavier, my husband. He is my best friend in the world.
