When it comes to peace, how would you describe yourself?
I am a 'born again' activist
What do you believe are the 'burning issues' today?
War, Hunger, Poverty, Our Planet, Violence, Human Rights, Our Shrinking Freedom, Other
So what is it?
Animal Rights, Human Trafficing
What must we overcome to achieve peace?
Greed
More
If people weren't so greedy to have more in life, they wouldn't feel the need to step all over everything in their path. If everyone on this earth had equal amounts of money, food, homes, cars, etc. we might be able to spend more time taking care of the failing planet & atmosphere.
Can we change the world?
Definitely
More about me
I'm a single mother of a 16 year old son. We lost his father 3 years ago. I am an animal & human rights activist. I love yoga, meditation, traveling (when I can afford it), cooking, friends & family. I am a "born again" animal rights & human rights activist. I am a very spiritual person.

A place well lit but lesser than home
Where the harassed
The oppressed,
The suppressed
Gather to worship.
An armed war Ship
Slips into shore to make peace
By force from street to street
At the shrine of peace
the TV crew renders our forced surrender
for viewers the world over to see on screens
The screaming child and dazed mother are framed
out of shot.
The lost become the center of frame
while abductors without borders
are treating themselves to images of our shame.
On the next plain, another take
blows are raining on the brave
who refuse to be cowed by uninvited guests
that stop a people's thought in mid-sentence.
At the shrine of peace
heads bowed
eyes closed
minds wondering
on how to restore justice lost to
war mongers
who hunger for broken bones
broken bonds and
broken hearts.
At the shrine of peace
we linger still like
city beggars waiting for coins
from the well fed.
Our fingers are raised in victory
though hearts steeped in misery.
We shall overcome,
overcome someday we SHALL
