More
People don't hear the news about the goodness; they only hear about the bad things in my country.

People around the world don't know much about our lives. We welcome everyone to our home, to our land.

I live in a safe, peaceful home on the Mount of Olives. Always I have Jews, Christians, Muslims and all sorts from around the world visiting me and my family.

People who have never been here think there is a wall between the Arabs and the Jews and that we are both dangerous people. We are both really good people.
Can we change the world?
Definitely
More about me
Ibrahim is a walking philanthropist. He's head of his family and a natural leader in his local community, the peacemaker community in the Holy Land, to projects such as the Way of Sulha and Jerusalem Peacemakers, and to many peace-oriented people worldwide.

He melts people's hearts, dissolving any reservations with sheer generosity of spirit.

He comes from a long line of community fathers who have lived on the Mount of Olives since the days of the Umayyad Caliphate, 1,300 years ago. He and his wife Naïma, a quiet and steady grandmother and hostess, welcome a continual stream of visitors to their open home - it has ten bedrooms. Sometimes they cook meals for up to a thousand people.

When Ibrahim sees people in need he mobilises support, taking on their case, rolling up with a mountain of clothes or food, bringing helpers and doing whatever he feels will most help. A retired telephone engineer, he's still busy connecting people up.

Supporting Ibrahim and his family means that many other people are supported through them. For many years Ibrahim worked with an international charity: they give him piles of clothes to distribute amongst needy people.

When asked what he needs most, he said "A car, so I can take food and clothes to people, and pick up guests from the airport. Not an old car that breaks down. A good car. I am too old to fix cars and to carry too much myself".

So much around us and inside us is sad so ”We cannot always Shine” that is OK. Admitting our sorrow and grief is the first step to healing and peace.
We can also find ourselves through ”Sagas, Dreams and Myths” within witch so much human wisdom is hidden.
We can close our eyes and just remember through all the music our heart and soul has saved, and we can share it with others in ”Unforgettable Music”
We can travel to get inspiration and understanding for our different cultures. Why not go to ”Sweden starting in Lapland” You will find my roots there involved in the midnight sun and the northern light *smile*

Hope seeing you somewhere /Gunilla
