- Most of us humans tend to consider their point of view, their habits, their impressions to be most accurate and generalise those views to be true for all. Thus if my opinion is the most valuable, those of others are less and hence are more likely to be suppressed, faught against and so on. As Daniel Barenboim in the movie "Knowledge is the Beginning" quoted, we need to learn as much as possible of each other. And adjust not merely to the media, but find out more about the others around us. This is certainly a good start. (we cannot be without opinions, points of view, however)

Seitdem 1996 das erste Strassen-Retreat von Roshi Bernie Glassman durchgeführt wurde, hat das Lassalle-Haus, Heimat der Glassman-Lassalle-Zen Sangha, für die Organisation der jährlichen Retreats in den Strassen von Zürich die Verantwortung übernommen.
Unterstützt von unseren Roshi Niklaus Brantschen und Pia Gyger, wurden die Retreats seit 1997 zunächst

I agree with what you write about us being too cought up in our own opinions and points of view. It is very limiting and separating. I am investigating the work by Marshall Rosenberg, non-violent-communication as a path of connecting with others in ANY situation.

My ponderings about peace: I feel it can only start within ourselves.
As within - as without. Learning to embrace and surround with love the duality within ourselves. Our own fears, doubts and judgements. First, of course, we need to start to become aware of it, which is the biggest part of the journey.
So much easier to blame what is outside of ourselves, isn't it?
