When it comes to peace, how would you describe yourself?: I am a born activist

What do you believe are the 'burning issues' today?: War, Poverty, Education, Our Planet, Violence, Human Rights

More: I think that we cannot summize our current issues in the world today with a single word- fear, hatred, poverty, etc... We have a lot of issues for a lot of different reasons. They are all intertwinde and as such I think it is difficult to address one without addressing the others. Hatred for example; hatred can lead to war and violence, but then you must ask yourself why do people hate. I do not feel it is something that was preconditioned. Poverty, economic disperity, fear, etc.. all of these things can create hatred which in turn becomes violence and possibly war.

More about me: I work for a non-profit called Legacy International in Bedford, VA and am going to school to become a health care provider. I have lived abroad in Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Korea, and Denmark. I really enjoy where I am currently working; I am able to meet youth/ teens from all over the world and provide them with skills in leadership, team building, dialogue, conflict resolution, etc... I feel that in may own way I am helping to create peace and a better tomorrow by being a positive influence on the next generation of movers and shakers. When I finish school I want to expand health care to underserved populations and volunteer my skills as a nurse in different areas of the world.
