What must we overcome to achieve peace?
Religion
More
The basic thing about many religions is that they condemn those who don't adhere to their beliefs. That is, if you don't follow my path you won't get salvation, heaven, Nirvana, life everlasting-- however it's phrased. Wars always and still rage over religious dogma and the way nuances are interpreted, when most religions espouse same/similar tenets. We kill to prove we're right. Onward Christian Soldiers, Jihad, all holy wars. We fight over pieces of Holy property while masses are starving on the steps of buildings on that property.
Can we change the world?
Definitely
More about me
I dream of peace in my time, but know it's an ongoing struggle that everyone must believe in to work.

your words about "fighting over pieces of property while masses are starving on the steps of buildings on that property" is so inspiring.
may we all realize that ownership of property and various dogmas are just social constructs.
may your involvement with ipeace help get you involved in creating sacred space. sacred space is just such an amazing concept. enhancing dialouge/respect/appreciation/peace/understanding/human rights. inspiring others to be. not to be someone that they are not, but to be.
may you inspire us at ipeace to create reverential or divine area that we can connect to when we need to connect to that deeper, bigger part of our selves.
may you inspire us not to condemn those who don't adhere to a certain dogma.
may we never have to kill or maim or kidnap to prove that we arre right.
