Fear
More
People are scared that there is not enough to sustain everyone on this planet.
Can we change the world?
Definitely
More about me
I have been a Registered Humanist Celebrant since spring 2001 and was one of the first twelve to be authorised as a Marriage Celebrant in 2005.
I am Humanist Chaplain for the University of Glasgow and Glasgow Caledonian University.
I have served on the HSS BOT and Glasgow Group Committee.
I am a Director of ‘Emerge – The Foundation’, a CIC implementing the pioneering ‘Coming of Age Project’, a co-founder of The (Scottish) Constitutional Commission, co-founder of The Love Alliance, supporter of Scotland's For Peace and signee of the Scottish Peace Covenant, and one of The Alkemists.
I have run my own business for 12 years offering Life Guidance, Coaching and Consultancy.
I am a Social Worker to trade. I also work in the arts.
To me, Humanism means focusing on common values, and on the universal qualities, abilities and aspirations that unify all human beings regardless of creed or class, and, valuing the unique contribution that each of us makes to this magnificent mandala that is life - because we are one human family.
"I firmly believe - deep in my heart - that through human will and effort peace, harmony and sutainability can prevail and that another world is possible."

My computer of 4 years suddenly was no longer able to get on the Internet and I have been using public computers since so I have not been on this site either for quite a while.
I just discovered your request for friendship and of course I accepted it. Thank you for sending it.

Welcome to iPeace. I see that you are a Social Worker, Humanist, and hold a number of other interesting and helpful roles. Also I see you are from Scotland. I have family roots on my mother's side that go back to Dunfermline, outside of Edinburgh.
