More about me: I work as General Manager of a business Company,manufacturing and marketing consumer products.I live in Karachi,Pakistan but have travelled widely.I like to make friends and exchange notes about issues affecting the peace and prosperity among the mankind and promote understanding with each other especially people from different cultures and religion.

PEACE IN WORLD

Many people I come across want peace and happiness but both are scarce in the world.Do we understand why?Almost every one has sincere views and good views,a genuine desire but if you ask,the majority will feel uncertain and unsure if there is PEACE IN THE WORLD.

Are we able to understand what has caused this feeling of absence of peace?Some blame religion and others greed.I think it is being on the extreme ends of views and forcing your views on others,looking at everything from one's own… Continue

To answer your question about what I do: I was the mayor (nazim) of my municipality for two 3 year terms and on the council for 9 years. I have left elected politics (happily) and am now working with the Columbia Institute Centre for Civic Governance. I also sit on the Board of Directors of a large Canadian credit union.. It is very rewarding work.

I have been working and only just got to this. I have studied international politics and economics for a long time. I believe in life-long learning and I've just returned to school to read laws at the University of London. I've been following Pakistani politics as well. Very relieved to hear that Chief Justice Iftikhar Chaudry has been returned to his position.
