What do you believe are the 'burning issues' today?: War, Hunger, Poverty, Education, Our Planet, Human Rights

What must we overcome to achieve peace?: Religion

More: Religion teaches ignorance and prejudice. I think all spirituality should be deeply personal and not a herd practice where the herd is commanded from the leader and all outside the herd are wrong.

I think borders are also a problem. If we all shared all the land there would be less disputes.

Can we change the world?: Definitely

This Spring Grow A Garden of Love

I was out and about with my puppy in the melting snow, mud and mush that is the mess that New England always goes through at this time of year as it struggles to shed the icy grip of winter and embrace the new life of spring.

There was a time when I didn't want to have children because the world was such a mess. My mother assured me that it was important for somebody to have the good ones who would be the leaders to change things and bring about world peace. She somehow thought that should be me, and I took her very seriously in that mission.

1. I was born the same year as the peace sign, 1958, which was a very good vintage, I think, full of mischief and laughter.
