When it comes to peace, how would you describe yourself?
I am a pacifist
What do you believe are the 'burning issues' today?
War, Hunger, Poverty, Education, Our Planet, Violence, Inflation, Human Rights, Our Shrinking Freedom
So what is it?
The best way forward to a peaceful future is the Christ's guidance and a minimal government.
What must we overcome to achieve peace?
Fear
More
People are afraid of what they don't understand. Being a pacifist, being for peace, does not mean being passive. Quite the contrary, being for peace means achieving just goals through organized non-violence.
Can we change the world?
Definitely
More about me
I have been interested in the philosophy of libertarianism for almost a year. I saw the teachings of Christ (being a Christian myself) within the ideal of liberty. In the course of my studies, I came across Greg Boyd and Leo Tolstoy, and from there branched outward. God is leading me on the path to the true anarcho=pacifist Way of Christ. I pray that He guide in in all I endeavor.
Promise to respect others and refrain from spamming?

Darkness and Despair

By

Matthew Powell

Pain, despair, emptiness, loneliness;

When I am the most down, I feel these deep in my soul,

Though I know it can leave a hole.

Life goes on around me; no one can see deep inside.

Hope exists, and can sometimes light a fire within; other times,

Only the dead cold is found, in place of fire therein.

My life. I exist. I am self-aware. When that hole that can exist, there is lack of… Continue

Wandering of Self

By

Matthew Powell

My soul, my self, wanders from day to day.

Though Christ is my foundation, My Way, still my soul, it wanders.

Thrown about by the storm of this life, questions still remain;

Some never to be answered this side of eternity.

Day by day, moment by moment,

We draw closer to our destiny.

At birth, we have an innocence of a type,

Though stained by Original Sin.

I'm familiar with Casanovia Twp. I used to go through there on my way to Sparta. I liked the long route. More beauty that way rather than the asphalt jungle. It's an honor to meet you also. I'm sure you don't miss the winters! We already have most of the leaves on the ground :( It's getting cold fast with possible snow showers tonight and tomorrow night.

I am honored to meet you here as well! I enjoyed your photos-there is so much beauty all around us, all we have to do is open our eyes! The camera's eye only catches glimpses of what we actually "see"! When I look at these photos, I not only look with my eyes, but I also "see with my heart" as well! May Gods peace be with you!

Hi Matt,
Thanks for your comment !
Yes, North Brabant ( Noord Brabant in Dutch written ) is with Zeeland at the westside of Brabant and Limburg at the eastside of Brabant the province in the south of The Netherlands. Noorth Brabant is at the borer with Belgium, where Brabant of Belgium is at the other side of the border. Van Gogh came from Nunen in Brabant. Maybe your grandfather wasn't born yet, when Van Gogh lived there. But his father can have met him.
Do you like living in America ? Have you ever been in Holland ?
Have a sunny weekend !
Blessings,
Marianne.
