When it comes to peace, how would you describe yourself?
I am a pacifist
What do you believe are the 'burning issues' today?
War, Hunger, Poverty, Education, Our Planet, Violence, Inflation, Human Rights
So what is it?
Lack of belief in and reliance upon God to direct our behavior.
What must we overcome to achieve peace?
Prejudice
More
As long as there exists prejudice and lack of recognition that we are all members of one planet, that we are, under God, all brothers and sisters, that women require equal human rights to education, shelter, employment opportunities and pay, we will continue to have strife in the world. Women are the first educators of children. If women teach their children peace and harmony, their children will grow likewise.
Can we change the world?
Definitely
More about me
I have been a member of the Baha'i Faith since 1962 and lived in many parts of the world including countries in Europe, Africa, Pacific, and Americas. I have seen first hand that unity of community can be achieved through collaboration and consultation.

I am signed up for Baha'i Communities! Where were you in Africa? I have or had friends in Zambia, Zaire and Swaziland. Also, I spent 3 happy years in Australia in the 1970s, and travelled around the Pacific a bit...

Hi Maureen,
I once frequented an eating establishment in Kathmandu the food was prepared with love and was very clean. Vegtables were washed in iodine water. Every thing was healthy. It was own by an American Baha'i woman who was a kind up beat person. As I understand it'is the last final step of western religion after Islam. I am fascinated by all religion. Thanks for visiting my ipeace page.
