When it comes to peace, how would you describe yourself?
I'm just a peaceful person
What do you believe are the 'burning issues' today?
Education, Our Planet, Our Shrinking Freedom, Other
So what is it?
WE need to stop fixing the external issues of today and take care of our individual issues inside ourselves
What must we overcome to achieve peace?
Fear
More
Control nothing and nothing can control you. The greatest lie ever told to man was that he ruled this planet. We are beings like everything else and because of our trained cockness we learn fears that do not exsist. Once we except who we are as beings and not the all powerful humans we think we are all the external issues disappear.
Can we change the world?
Definitely
More about me
I was born February 13, 1983. I lived in Atlanta most my life. I have always been a really happy kid. I am what I like to call a product of my situation and adapt to the scene at hand. I have always had a since of independence even when I was young I use to camp alone. I love life and think that simplicity is the key even if it is hard to practice. My quote I made up on my hike to Canada was "control nothing and nothing can control you." I think that if there is always a positive and a negative to any situation then why would one not focus on the positive. I think our lives are help shaped by our thoughts and out looks; therefore, I would like to say that I am "unipolor" and am stuck in happiness. I wake up wanting to be the best I can be which I fall short of all the time, but I think that the only moment we have is now. I can’t let my past mistakes hold me down. I love learning about life inside and outside me. I want to learn how to live in perfect balance with the world and want to teach and learn from all things. There is a message in everything and I want to learn it all. By searching for all the teachers out there I hope I am able to give back all that I take in. I hope to always keep an open mind. I like to say “thoughts cause paralysis by analyses” and I want to live a life of doing.

On January 1st 2009, I plan to leave Key West, Florida making my way on an epic journey around the lower 48 states meeting and seeing as many people and places I can. Of course, I plan to stay in hostels and hotels from time to time, but for the majority of the trip I plan to stealth camp and relay on the kindness of others. I plan to share my trip with those that I meet and ask to document briefly where they come from and some thoughts about how they live. I plan to work and volunteer my time to those I meet and need it not to gain anything (unless I need money) but for the relationship I will gain. I would like to try new things too and want people I meet to show me their culture and stories. During the ride and even when I am in town I plan to have waterproof camera to record things here and there. I plan to voice record thoughts or descriptions and post them on the web. I will also shoot photos along with the films. There is no way to predict what will happen on this trip for expectations lead to disappointment, but I do know I can start the trip and with a positive attitude which I really have. I will make it through and the most amazing doors will open. The people and places that will be seen will open up the imagination of others, hopefully sparking the sense of adventure in others. Once the trip has started, I truly hope to be an ambassador and begin helping others. It is only right to give back.

The website will be a more massive informational intake then the “My Space” page. It will become a community where not only my travels will be documented, but more importantly, the public will bring their own information letting many know about the ways one can live life.
The categories I want on the page that will be information from me and others around the United States are:
places the bike ride is going/been/wants to go and suggestions from others
the “Jolly Constitution” which will be news articles I find along the way that are positive environmental issues – what people are doing to live with mother nature and make the world a better.
cultural area of fun new and old ways people along the trip live - I want others I don’t meet to share there ways of living. I want to expose sub cultures and any other types in this area.
music and art that I find and others are willing to share
Since the bus is the final goal of this whole endeavor I would like to show the ideas I have for it and how much money I have made towards its purchase, but I would like the opinion of others to help. Last but not least, there will be all the videos/photos/and audio from my trip for those to watch as if they were with me. I also will sell t-shirts and ask for donations on the page too.

The Jolly Green Ice Machine is a mobile eco-friendly bus unit made to live in and primarily sell shaved ice throughout festivals in the United States. This is, of course, just one of the many aspects of the company, but it should be noted as the main function of the business. The idea behind the bus is much larger. The Jolly Green Ice Machine is an experience not just a business. The shaved ice will be for children and adults. The idea is to have funky flavors and a mixture experience fun for everyone. As word gets out, t-shirts will also be sold. The bus will be as environmentally friendly as possible, and there will be a website following the journey through regular updates. The bus will stand for an alternate way of life. It will be a family friendly business that will bring joy to whoever may follow the experience. The idea is to travel to as many festivals as possible. What festivals to attend will be chosen based on the estimated number of people the organizers expect. The bus will most likely change its pattern regularly because of the number of festivals for exposure purposes. The idea is to become a symbol and gain popularity throughout the country. Hopefully, with time, private parties will contact the bus for private gatherings. In the end the bus will sell shaved ice, t-shirts and the web-site will bring in revenue.
The Jolly Green Ice Machine will be a 30+ passenger bus with bottom compartments and an emergency exit with windows. The goal is to remodel the interior completely and customize it. Ultimately, the bus will have two compartments. The front of the bus will be the living area. There will be two custom fit bunk beds for the employees including a sofa and table with a small cooking space. The bus will have a speaker system throughout including waterproof ones outside. The living area will double as the office where a wireless laptop will update the website. The second compartment will be the business, where shaved ice and t-shirts will be sold. The goal is to use the emergency exit as a window. There will need to be a large cooler that will be picked up along the travels. There will need to be a counter with a keg tap system for the flavors and an ice machine. The outside will have a fold down tarp with the logo painted on it which will rise when at a festival for hangout space. This area will be a gathering zone to keep people around and interested. Live music and entertainment will be available. There will be a tent platform on the roof of the bus for employees with road bikes and mountain bikes. It needs to be noted that the employees will be living on this bus. A Vespa will be on the front for easy festival movement when the bus is locked at a destination.
There are many concerns with the bus. Start up costs as well as creating a livable space is a challenge. This is because the bus must be fully livable along with the business of selling shaved ice. It is also a higher cost because it is an “experience” not just a business. Fueling the bus is another concern that must be researched. Should the bus remain diesel or are there other ways to power the bus that are more cost efficient in the end and eco- friendly. One idea is to add solar panels to repower when the bus is docked at a festival. Research needs to be done on ice cream trucks to see what the requirements are for clean selling. Are there any concerns crossing state lines? How do you get into the festivals and more? Please make any notes a few spaces down.
