When it comes to peace, how would you describe yourself?
I feel the pain in the world
What do you believe are the 'burning issues' today?
Hunger, Poverty, Education, Our Planet, Violence, Human Rights, Other
So what is it?
Poverty of needs creates the space that only violence seems to fill.
What must we overcome to achieve peace?
Greed
More
The Navajo believe that Greed is the single greatest sin that has followed them from world to world. When that sin can be eliminated from human kind, true peace will come. I find this to be an Absolute truth. It is greed that causes poverty of body, mind, soul, and rights (dignity) and creates desire for unjustified power, glutton behavior, war, and all other ills.
Can we change the world?
Maybe
More about me
An Artist, Author, and American (in the good sense of the word). I want others to have what I have (Freedom) and protect what we have as well. I am Catholic but believe we have free will to find God or not.
Promise to respect others and refrain from spamming?
Yes

Peace takes courage...

It seems odd that Peace should take courage, but it does. Courage to believe there are other people who want Peace too. Peace means more than the absence of conflict, violence, or fear. It also means having love, joy, and gratitude for everyone including ourselves. Peace means being safe to allow your vulnerability to be seen and shared by others. It means not needing to have weapons with you all the time. The weapons not only of knives and guns, but words and hurtful actions.

I am so glad to see you here and on my group too! We really need your input!

Thanks also for the comment on my blog post. "Hatred is incapable of being wrong" -so true. I believe this is the problem between nations - no one wants to back down, admit they are wrong, even admit to the hate. Governments are just humans and make mistakes. When is the last time one admitted to it?
