Hi Richard, It's Teresa R. Hernandez the peace activist teacher from Sunnyvale. Tomorrow I will be speaking to 250 Latino Teenagers at a Leadership Conference at Holiday Inn in San Jose. I will be one of 6 speakers. I will talk about International Peace Day 9-21-09 and I will ask kids to join in the California Peace Movement ( Stopping Gang Violence by promoting Literacy, Community Events and Art and Music). The Hearts and Hands Elders : authors, artists, muscians have really made great efforts to popularize "PEACE" . It's working! I am so happy to see so many Latino Teen Youth make a stand and get involved in community service, peace in the community and globally too via multi-media tools! Hello Richard, I just finished summer school working with immigrant students ages (10-14) who are new to the country less than 2 years. It is my job to teach the beginners English and a mini course in US history, culture and language arts too. I had kids from Mexico, South America :Peru and Columbia ,Central America: El Salvador and Honduras, Africa: Eritrea and Asia: China and South Korea and the Phillipines. It was a good summer.

Soon I'll return to my home base to teach 5 year olds ( kindergarten). I am credentialed to teach all grades preschool -the University and I have taught every grade. I prefer working with immigrant children/students. I meet the world in my classes.

The image I sent you was from student in my district. She submitted it for Family Day at Santa Clara Triton Art Museum. I have several other pieces of art that the kids submitted. It was so wonderful to see their minds are shifting to the new paradigm PEACE!
I am still working on the peace days 9-21-09 celebrations for our school and 10-25-09 Woodstock 40th Anniversary in San Francisco.
Would you be interested in attending a planning meeting? We are having a Press Conference in San Francisco August 12 in the evening at 2b1 Multimedia . It will begin about 7:00PM. I think you would find it interesting. The people from the Council of Light would probably be interested in these peace portals ipeace, AOAND, and Frizzey Lights.

We are very excited about this monumental Peace Concert Convergence and community Ecovillage. This free event is a massive undertaking of volunteers and innovators contributing their time and skills to a group collaborative of ONENESS. We'd love to invite Carlos Santana to participate in Woodstock too since he was there 40 years ago. I understand he is in Las Vegas for August.
He is a world famous Humanitarian and a resident of the Bay Area. He most certainly is invited to participate in any way he would choose.

The band El Chicano is also invited to play. They are celebrating their 40th year as a premiere Chicano/Latino band. They are volunteering their performance for the peace message and to promote green ecology. We have a wonderful list of peace activists and innovators from multi-media and green technologies. It is a truly amazing collaborative effort of artists, and entertainers and promoters and others. I understand you have a similar background. You would probably know some of the people involved. This will be a nice way to meet you, in person. Richard I hope you can attend the Press Conference. It is not open to the public but if you RSVP to Benjamin he can share the details.
