When it comes to peace, how would you describe yourself?
I am a pacifist
What do you believe are the 'burning issues' today?
War, Hunger, Poverty, Education, Our Planet, Violence, Human Rights
So what is it?
War which includes violence; poverty and the lack of human rights which encompass hunger and the lack of education...and it all comes back to the what poor stewards we are for our planet.
What must we overcome to achieve peace?
Greed
More
It always seems to be about the bottom line. When such a small percentage of the world has most the wealth and controls all the things and privileges that wealth entitles them to control - then things like markets and wars and human rights can all be maniupulated, and it appears to me, the are.
Can we change the world?
Definitely
More about me
A child of the sixties, I see the same story being repeated again and again. However, I also saw Mandela released and the 'troubles' in Northern Ireland at least mostly resolved. And now I've seen the Americans elect their first black President - there is much to be hopeful about. I am first and foremost a writer concerned with the interdependent world wide web that connects us all - social justice seems to me something that should concern everyone because it actually does concern everyone.
Promise to respect others and refrain from spamming?
Yes

"Let There Be Peace On Earth" was a solo I sang for the public as a preteen. Have always loved that song and still sing it, occasionally. Love Is All ~ Warren
Hey MHA - was up by barely about - am in the middle of an intense Poetry Festival that doesn't end until late tomorrow - enjoyable but draining...gotta fly. Be well. Peace.
So how is My Dear S.E. tonight. I just got in and see You are up & about. So what;s new with My Canadian friend? I just got in and it's 3:15 in the morning. I went to see some Live music and got to see some friends. It was a Good night and now I'm safe & sound back in My home. "Feels Good" I hit some April showers, but saw some Beautiful Lightning while riding My motorcycle. Gotta Go My Dear. Talk to You later.
S.E. in Your profile You said You were a writer so with a name like Yours thought I'd Google it and I came up with some sites about You in Your Life. Now My quest is to find out what S.E. stands For..
The picture goes with the writing and Your involvement with
Last month as I lay ill
and dying still
my neighbor’s trees
kept watch
Their bony arms raised
to the skies
defying winter’s wrath,
blackly outlining
starkest cold felt deep
within the marrow
of my bones,
and without as well
The birches, with March,
heralded false Spring briefly,
with a fuzzy show of slightest green
worn off again in hours
by the ice-storm
I felt surround my heart,
my soul, my everything
Birch is hard-wood
and so am I, so together
we stood strong
weathered the non-season
Refusing to give up the ghost
die, as expected;
we toughed out the weeks
until real Spring
Deigned to put in
her appearance
And now,
The trees stand watch
their branches lovely,
full of leaves
and grace and hope,
We sway together
dancing in the
face of death
