When it comes to peace, how would you describe yourself?
I am a pacifist
What do you believe are the 'burning issues' today?
War, Hunger, Poverty, Education, Our Planet, Violence, Human Rights
So what is it?
Not recognising that we are one, and that what we do to others, we ultimately do to ourselves.
What must we overcome to achieve peace?
Greed
More
Until we realise that the only way to true and lasting happiness is by sharing what we have with all others, we will not have peace of mind, and cannot achieve peace in the world.
Can we change the world?
Definitely
More about me
I am an active pacifist. :-)

I teach yoga to children and adults, with a view to helping others to find their own inner peace. Through finding inner peace, we can move forward peacefully in the world. I also teach Ethical and Religious Studies in my local secondary school, and it is my aim to empower others with light and love, so that we all move forward peacefully on Mother Earth.
Promise to respect others and refrain from spamming?
Yes
"The secret of health for both mind and body is not to mourn for the past, worry about the future, or anticipate troubles, but to live in the present moment wisely and earnestly." The Buddha

(Shanti): Tenzin Gyatso, the 14th Dalai Lama, emphasizes the importance of inner peace in the world:
"The question of real, lasting world peace concerns human beings, so basic human feelings are also at its roots. Through inner peace, genuine world peace can be achieved. In this the importance of individual responsibility is quite clear; an atmosphere of peace must first be created within ourselves, then gradually expanded to include our families, our communities, and ultimately the whole planet." Brothers and Sisters (We are One)
You are my brother
I am your sister
We share one home -
What you affects me, what I do affects you

When I switch on the light in my room
do I switch one off in yours?

When I fill my car with the liquid remains
of yesterday's world
What do I do to you?

As I eat my food from across the globe
Why do you shrink?

You are my sister
I am your brother
We share more than just our home -
We are more than brother and sister

When you cry
Your tears are my tears
Your pain my pain

When you strike in terror
I am the one
Who gave you the gun

I am the guard, come to inflict torture
And I am the nun - full of fear
and compassion

But Brother
When you smile
I see your sunshine
Sister
Your laugh is a chorus of songbirds
Bringing light into my life

We are all the sadness in this world
And we are all the joy

Every flower blooming
Every cloud in the sky
Every ripple on the water
Every star in the universe

The warmth and light of the sun
bringing the gift of life to all

We are one
Playing to the rhythm of our breathing
