The US Elections, Israel and Palestine

Posted on November 9, 2008 at 10:50pm 0 Comments

The US Elections have come and gone. Many of us are pleased that Barack Obama had won these elections. For us in the Middle East and especially for Israelis and Palestinians who are desirous of a solution to this conflict that has plagued us for so long, there is perhaps a tiny light at the end of the dark tunnel of frustration. There are no guarantees of course, but there is some hope of a new order.

Israel, on the other hand, is also at the threshold of elections which will be held… Continue

Israel is slipping into Racism

Posted on November 8, 2008 at 5:50pm 0 Comments

Many of us had left our countries of origin for Israel imbued with ideology of being part of a country full of challenges. We all felt that we could make our contribution and bring up our families here. Zionism, which is the national liberation movement of the Jewish People sought to bring the Jews back to their historical homeland where they could live in dignity, equality and under democratic rule. This is all very nice, ideological and pure – for whom?

There were all kinds of… Continue

Is a Binational State for Two Peoples a Solution to the Conflict?

Posted on November 8, 2008 at 5:32pm 1 Comment

The Israeli-Palestinian conflict continues to be a smoldering problem in the Middle East and remains a threat to the stability of the region. The world today has become a smaller place – a global village. The ramifications of what happens in this region affect the stability of the world. There are still no signs that a solution to this conflict is at hand. The US has decided to hold a peace conference in November with the participation of Israel and Palestine as well as invitations to the… Continue

WHat is going on in your country!!!!! I just read in the new york times what new foreign minister, Leberman said about peace and it was so very negative. ( he said more or less that he rejected the current idea of the Napoles ) I was in Israel twice in the last years and spent time both in the beautiful Israeli country and in places like RAMALLAH, Nablieus etc. PEOPLE ARE PEOPLE and peace must exist in the middle east. Israel with her security needs and the Palestians with their need for a Palestian state. My question IS IT POSSIBLE. I would like to believe like our new president YES WE CAN> WHat are your thoughts????

Shalom Shimon,

I’ve been gone for the last couple of weeks spreading light and love through lecturing, the radio show and the video-editing studio.

Just wanted to re-connect and say hi! Although I’ve been gone and not communicating, that in no way diminishes my appreciation of who you are and what you are doing to promote and sustain peace amongst all of us here and everyone within your world.

As with all my friends here, each day I go through my friends list pictures and send each of them, including you, all the love and light I can muster from here. I will continue to do so for as long as it takes for all humankind to experience the Peace we all cherish.

So with that said, I hope you have a wonderful day.

With all that I am,

Joe
