Love, Peace, Good Health and Happiness to you.. All My Relations.

Mother Theresa & Nelson Mandella

DO IT ANYWAY

People are often unreasonable
illogical and self-centered
Forgive them anyway.

If you are kind
people may accuse you of selfish ulterior motives
Be kind anyway.

If you are successful
you will win some false friends and true enemies
Succeed anyway.

If you are honest and frank
people may cheat you
Be honest anyway.

What you spend years building
someone could destroy overnight
Build anyway.

If you find serenity and happiness
they may be jeolous
Be happy anyway.

The good you do today
people will often forget tomorrow
Be good anyway.

Give the world the best you have
and it may never be enough
Give the world the best you've got anyway.

You see, in the final analysis
it is between you and God
It was never between you and them anyway.

Mother Theresa 1910-1997

OUR DEEPEST FEAR

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure
It is our Light, not our Darkness, that most frightens us
We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?
Actually, who are you.. NOT to be?
You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world.
There is nothing enlightening about shrinking so that other people won't feel unsure around you.
We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us.
It is not in just some of us, it is in everyone.
As we let our Light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same
As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others..

Nelson Mandella, from his inaugural speech, 1994

When it comes to peace, how would you describe yourself?
I am a born activist
What do you believe are the 'burning issues' today?
War, Hunger, Poverty, Our Planet, Violence, Human Rights, Our Shrinking Freedom
So what is it?
Human Rights
What must we overcome to achieve peace?
Economic disparities
More
If our economic needs were met, we would not have to terrorize others for their economic gains. Countries would not have to overtake other countries if they had their economic needs (land, food, shelter) met. This is why we are taught to share what we have.... All My Relations..
Can we change the world?
Definitely
More about me
Have been a native activist ever since I saw the disparity in the world, between the races, and was in a position to say what I needed to say where people would listen to me. Writing poetry is one of the ways that I bring out issues of disparity in the world and teach respect for Mother Earth... Poetry readings is where I bring out the emotion of my writing...
Promise to respect others and refrain from spamming?
Yes

Posted on November 8, 2009 at 3:30pm 0 Comments

The Medicine Wheel I go to is located in Stoney Park, 30-45 minutes outside of Calgary, Alberta... It was laid out in 1987 under the instruction of Albert Lightening, a respected Elder from Hobbema, Alberta. My husband helped make the Medicine Wheel... We had just been married the day before in a traditiional wedding ceremony... Each time I go do ceremony at the Medicine Wheel site, I am so greatful that we have something so sacred as this to go to... to talk to Creator.. I go at each changing… Continue
