More about me: In my twenties I wanted to become a professional worker for peace and instead found myself living as a performance artist and poet. In my forties I began to practice Tibetan Buddhism which enables me to strive to bring peace to the worlds in which I revolve. I am a registered nurse, professional storyteller, and writer trying to embody peace and create peace in all of my endeavors.

I am a registered nurse and will not be able to write every day but I do want to share a few thoughts on why I have joined this group today. As a child, living on an Air Force Base, I did not understand the efforts for war and hatred of others. These feelings have not changed through my five decades of life. The bigoted nature of the rhetoric coming from the Republicans is hateful and dangerous. However, those of us who do not agree with them cannot stoop to their level. Rather, we must point out to those who will listen the lies being promoted and that we must seek solutions to this country's problems in methods that will bring people together.
