Fear is indeed the Root cause of many of our problems in the World today. Fear of the Unknown, Fear of Change, Fear of Acceptance. Fear is in direct opposition to anything that is Positive, that's Good, that's Righteous, and Peaceful. Fear is in Direct opposition to Love, to Fulfillment, to Abundance. Think about it, "The Fear of losing something or not having enough of something like Food, will cause a person to Dread, or have anxiety about a particular thing or person etc.Causing a negative, selfish reaction. Fear is the "weapon" that Terrorist uses to terrorize and immobilize a person or a Nation. A person that is Prejudice for instance, has a fear of the unknown, a fear of accepting another person of a different skin color as Equal. Fear is the root cause of Divisions among Nations, Tribes, Religions and Individuals. Webster dictionary defines "Fear: as Frightened, to feel fear in (oneself), to be afraid of:,.. expect with alarm. To be afraid or apprehensive. An unpleasant often strong emotion caused by anticipation or awareness of danger. Anxious concern: SOLICITUDE. ....Now the Synonyms of Fear are: "Fear, Dread, Fright, Alarm, Panic, Terror, and Trepidation mean painful agitation in the Presence, Or anticipation of danger. "FEAR is the most general term and implies anxiety and usually loss of courage. DREAD usually adds the idea of intense reluctance to face or meet a person or situation and suggests aversion as well as anxiety. Each of the synonyms mentioned above have a definition that implies that Fear is indeed a root cause to many of the negative situations we face in this World today.
The only thing that can change these Fearful, negative World conditions is "LOVE". Love (Perfected) Casts out All Fear.
Can we change the world?

Hi Tony and greetings from Florida! I agree with what you say about fear and didn't the Bush administration use it to manipulate people for a long time? Thank goodness most of us saw through it and the rest got tired of it and decided to stop being controlled by fear and turned to something more positive. That's not to say that politicians are still not politicians and the rich will always look to war to get richer however I think we at least have a couple more folks listening to us in DC. If they are not hearing us, then those of us who are born activists know what to do.... I'll be in DC for the march on the Pentagon on March 21 anyway given that it is the 6th anniversary of the occupation of Iraq. Never hurts to get that message out to bring the troops home sooner rather than later! Peace, Melissa
Thank you for your friendship. I so agree with what you said about fear being our largest and worst enemy. Fear can only be irradicated by love and understanding. I feel blessed to have found this forum I have so much to learn and this is a wonderful place to start my journey.
