What must we overcome to achieve peace?: Other

More: I believe the biggest obstacle for peace is our fundemental disbelief that it is possible to live in harmony with each other . We must be willing to evolve and free ourselves from disfunctional views of ourselves, based on unquestioned traditions or superstitions. We are clearly designed to live in harmony with others. We must now also come to terms with carrying a peaceful intention toward other life in our universe, as it seems inevitable that we will be interacting with life forms we aren't fully aware of yet, in the coming years. Many people already have had these experiences. We don't have time it seems, for outmoded, ineffective ways of relating to the "other". Simply put - We Are One, it's really that simple.

Can we change the world?: Definitely

More about me: I am someone born during the time in America when authority wasn't questioned. I was too young too be a hippie, yet even at a young age (I was born in 1961) I related to what I could hear in music.I spent most of my life trying to conform, with unsatisfactory results. I decided to turn toward my own heart and mind and found my calling.I believe all people are equal and are all Children of a Loving God, I do not believe of the "God" of most religions. There is no such thing as a Holy War.

The only thing that matters in the life of anyone alive on the planet today is creating a world that works for everyone. I am a passionate supporter of The Venus Project, the work of Jacque Fresco and Roxanne Meadows. I also support The Zeitgeist Movement.

I don't really have any certainty that I will have any sort of consciousness after I "die", so I live as if this is it.

For me that means that, if I live my life in the pursuit of peace, finding sustainable solutions and implementing them, and doing whatever I can to make the world better for everyone, I will feel that my life has been well lived. I am happy.

I own a small green web hosting company which I built after retiring from 20 years of nursing , in my heart I came to understand I could help others more on my own, rather than within the confines of state regulations. I strive to be the change I wish to see in the world in whatever ways I can.
