When it comes to peace, how would you describe yourself?
I am a born activist
What do you believe are the 'burning issues' today?
Our Planet, Human Rights
What must we overcome to achieve peace?
Other
More
Our lack of peace within...our relationship with ourselves that is then projected on to other people and situations.
Can we change the world?
Definitely
More about me
What do I do?
It is a challenge to describe what I do because I can do so many things and what I don't do directly I conceptualize and bring together the team to carry it out. But at the heart is always strategic planning to fulfill your mission. I bring new meaning to Creative Strategy that can be applied to a number of challenge areas.

I bring what could be called a more enlightened perspective to problem solving and change management and often the results are profound as Ron Wopereis describes in his endorsement: "my perspective on life has shifted into a new paradigm".

I am a business adviser that takes a personal interest in her clients goals. I specialize in "the next step", Inclusion, and integrating the interests of all key stakeholders.

In challenging times the value of social capital becomes apparent, but one must pay attention to cultivating it beforehand.

How do I work?

Art is both the context and the solution, and though it may include a painting, installation, digital art, or conceptual performance piece it is how I employ them in analysis, conceptual development, and strategic solutions for my clients that makes the difference. I use art as a core part of my process to analyze and resolve issues as diverse as change management, CSR, CRM Strategy, community development, R&D, product development and regional economic development.

I use art as a bridge to meet multiple needs on many levels....

On one side-->private sector (socially responsible businesses-products-services) and groups/associations (chambers of commerce, etc) that need to help facing the unknown or entering the unknown to solve problems, develop products, etc see: Attention Services Brochure; Corporate/Global Social Responsibility Solutions, Meaningful Marketing for Customer Retention represented in exclusive sponsorship opportunities (must meet qualifying criteria) for all levels of participation

--->in the middle-Cultural Fusion Art as Philosophy- works of art with purpose

I wanted to share this with you as it is a way to participate in the Cultural Fusion Experience and help promote your project, organization, etc. Also because I am using this as a way to scout for collaborators for the Cultural Fusion Tour....we can discuss that later if that is of interest to you. Of course, anyone else that is interested is also welcomed to contact me.

Excerpt from Cultural Fusion blog post

My experience has been that not only is there resistance to change, there is resistance to acceptance. The levels of change needed to achieve peace, to me seem so radical that I doubt most people would make the transition were it not for the crumbling of the old. Because if the old ways were working what would be the motivation, the… Continue

Hi Yvette, I'm working on tools to help people build and leverage social capital, with the aim to improve socio economic conditions globally. The idea is to set the stage for a creativity and eduction based economy, that can reach everyone. Looks like you do some very interesting work. I'd love to learn more about it.

We do not count?

We who have cans at the end
can erupt in rendition of an anthem,
to heal our planet
by saving the delicate net
that connects our continents
So we Africans
can join minds with Latin Americans
and share fellowship with Asians
Jamaicans
Puto-Ricans
Dominicans
Coastaricans
and even Ithacans
who care and are concerned.
They say we do count
when it matters most
but when April arrives, the tax-people
expect our returns
yet they say we not count.
When ballot boxes swallow
our cards and return zeros in our stead
They say we do not count
but mothers of Warriors count
the numbers of days dear ones
are away from home
They say we do not count?
We count the needless journeys
to DC only to return deceived
with platitudes received from
sugar-coated agents of state
Do they say we do not count?
we who are numbers at boarder posts
we never slumber but slip in
a thought or two for their Daily Post
They can't say we do not count
because we count days of hunger
we are still counting those dazed by Katrina.
We won't stop counting body bags
arriving by night,
and nights arriving by noon in homes
where breadwinners are now weaned off bottles like babies.
They say we do not COUNT?
