I feel the pain in the world
What do you believe are the 'burning issues' today?

So what is it?
?
What must we overcome to achieve peace?
Fear
More
Fear, often of scarcity, makes people act in selfish ways againt their True Nature-- peacefulness. When conditions are right, and a majority of people are in a fearful state of mind, they are in a vulnerable state and so it society as a whole.
Can we change the world?
Definitely
More about me
Armchair advocate for the Education of Human Potential, and a new humanistic treatment of mental illness (dis-ease). Passionate about the ideas of Dabrowski and Maria Montessori; hoping a balance of scientific process and intuition, spirituality combine to create harmony in how we treat human beings.
Believe in looking at individuals and society in complex ways that acknowledge individual difference. Greater understanding and acceptance of the paradoxical aspects of our existence.
Being able to acknowledge differences within and among people-- constructively, without imposing judgment-- we are in balance, everyone is needed, our differences are what make society possible.
Believe that children are the future of our world; the road to Peace involves the transformation in our educational systems, re-evaluation of our economic priorities (www.thezeitgeistmovement.com), developing a shared set of values which bind us together-- we need cohesion, not division-- tolerance but not chaos.
Dream of a world where the Wisdom of the East and West integrate and strike a balance, to heal our 'differences' and transform our understanding of ourselves and our purpose on this Earth.
(For instance, differences in the concept of love in the East and West; I highly recommend YouTube video by Llewellyn Vaughan-Lee "A dangerous love" which contrasts love as interpreted by the Sufis and our Western concept of Romantic love.)
The Red Rose Wispers of Passion,
And the White Rose breathes of Love;
O, the Red Rose is a Falcon,
And the White Rose is a Dove

Adopted Soul Sis of the Fabulous Emily Rose-- she is an advocate for Eating Disorder Awareness, a vivacious Human Being, and a beautiful old soul. Sometimes I agree, 'nobody feels anything real: Sex, Money, God, and Ugly. I'm asking, who doesn't share a plan of a "Brotherhood of Man?"
