What do you believe are the 'burning issues' today?: War, Hunger, Poverty, Education, Our Planet, Human Rights

What must we overcome to achieve peace?: Fear

More: Fear is the weapon that has been used throughout time to divide us into "us" and "them". To be afraid is to look to solutions to problems that need someone to be an "enemy". As long as were made to be afraid of "the other guy" we wont take the time to realise that he or she is going through the same things we are and should be our neighbor and not an enemy.
We are our brothers keeper and its time to stand up to powers that be that say otherwise.

Can we change the world?: Definitely

More about me: I am a 52 year old male happily married to my purdy wife living in northwestern wisconsin usa where often its colder than Alaska.I am a regular working stiff production worker working in a factory.
I am one individual but firmly believe that "WE ARE THE People WE HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR". Its not one man or woman that changes the world for us its not from the top down but from the bottom up its all of us you and me makes we all together that gets the job done.. If all the little people get together we can change anything!.. I highly recomend an animation on youtube called "mouseland" !

an alternative for war-peace

I just came on ipeace yesterday but was inspired by a fellow facebooker that was saying why is it called the anti war movement and not the pro peace movement? Well there is a big point in that it shouldn`t be just that we are against this and that but what are we actualy for.

Its not just enough to say your against bloodshed. Anyone in there right mind is against killing. But the true question is what is the alternative to: war, conflict, resource alocation or even the basics of life like… Continue
