When it comes to peace, how would you describe yourself?
I feel the pain in the world
What do you believe are the 'burning issues' today?
War, Hunger, Poverty, Education, Our Planet, Violence, Inflation, Human Rights, Our Shrinking Freedom, Other
So what is it?
What must we overcome to achieve peace?
After much querying, I am of the belief that...`In the Beginning, there was the Word`...words...create thoughts, where do thoughts in our brain originate from? Not even today's most respected scientists can tell us. To me it seems we are always having a tussle with our conscious thoughts...have you ever noticed that there seems to be another `thought` that remains in opposition to our own...as the song says, `ego - is not a dirty word` however, I now agree that everytime we side with our `ego-state of consciousness` (not to be mis-interpereted as our self-esteem)...we shall invariably attract some form of pain, be it physical, emotional, psychological or spiritual, for `ego` continually needs our dependancy on it, less it eventually dies and is no-more, for, `ego` is in alliance with `seperation` and it is seperation that we experience when we succumb to the ego's cries. It is from this knowledge that I turn my back on long-established religions of the world, think about how many there are, with each one adopting an idea that they are somehow a little more `special` than the others. Once more, it is the idea of seperation that accompanies the pain.
Can we change the world?
More about me
I have worked in the Aged Care Industry over the years as
an Assistant Nurse which has been invaluable in gaining
knowledge of what folk who are older than ourselves,
have adopted in respect of attitudes to society in regards
to their own generation and their own mortality.
