When it comes to peace, how would you describe yourself?: I am a born activist

What do you believe are the 'burning issues' today?: War, Hunger, Poverty, Education, Our Planet, Violence, Human Rights, Our Shrinking Freedom, Other

So what is it?: over population resulting in all of the above

What must we overcome to achieve peace?: Other

More: human nature - man is by nature good and bad

Can we change the world?: Definitely

More about me: born hippie into military family. learnt to be strong about my opinions and feelings. spent most of my life travelling the world - as a traveller not a tourist ie often staying with locals in their homes in preference to hotels, Youth Hostels etc.

long time activist but physically retired due to health issues; and now living an alternative lifestyle in Nimbin Australia; a place where 'misfits' fit in :D

I have had a very interesting life, marrying late and always happy for the next adventure life sends me.

peaceful time of year?

Do any others have issue with the pressure put on people by commercial interests at this time of year. Why is it that in this multi-cultural planet with corresponding beliefs that the Christian 'christmas' is still forced on us? Now it affects me little being insulated from all the hype by seclusion but when I was out in the world working etc I found it frustrating at times that although I do not believe in Christianity I am still forced to abide by it. Anxiety

I have put this article in as I feel that if we as humans had better understanding of illnesses such as anxiety there would be less anger. I suffer quite severely from this illness - gentle soul having violence thrust on them. I now have massive attacks at the though of leaving home even to go to the closest town 40km away; I can however go into the village on my own now.
