When it comes to peace, how would you describe yourself?
I'm just a peaceful person
What do you believe are the 'burning issues' today?
Education, Our Planet, Human Rights, Other
So what is it?
awareness is needed to meet any one of the above issues
What must we overcome to achieve peace?
Fear
More
fear eats up body heart and soul,
and our ability to respond with compassion
fear makes humans workable and when we are afraid we can be manipulated and forget our true purpose in life.
Then the reptilian brain takes over and creates.... suffering
Can we change the world?
Definitely
More about me
tending the soul = tending the soul of the world

I am very afraid right now, and I need all the support I can get to remember my purpose in life... and fill my own little world wit love and healing rather than getting eaten up and darkened by the fear.
I think that s part of being human - that sometimes we need community to keep our light bright. Like the butterfly's wings moving can change the weather, one other person's offer to listen , and to be present, can change my attitude from worry to hope, from fear back to love. . . most of the time.....
Promise to respect others and refrain from spamming?
Yes

Shanti,

Thanks for the encouraging words. I do need help in the publishing arena!

I thought you might enjoy this meditation from Book IV "The Soul Perspective"

I have found it to be an easy, yet powerful meditation:

BEGINNING SOUL MEDITATION

1. Sit with your spine erect, body relaxed and in a position of physical comfort. Hands should be resting on the tops of your thighs (Egyptian style) and feet should be flat on the ground with sides touching or crossed with the right ankle over left. Think and adopt “relaxed poise”.

2) Close your eyes and start rhythmic breathing. Rhythmic breathing is a gentle but steady breathing that has an inhale of four counts, then holding for two counts. Exhaling for four counts and holding for two counts. An important point here is that this should be relaxed breathing. Many use their heartbeat as metronome for the rhythm of the counts.

3. After establishing the peace of rhythmic breathing, withdraw the consciousness inward in successive stages, using the imagination in so doing. The mind’s eye is a powerful tool and using the imagination is a creative activity that produces definite inner changes.

a. Begin to withdraw your awareness from the physical body to the emotional body. Feel this state, for it is a total state of feeling; void of thought or physical senses.

b. Now, withdraw your awareness from the emotional body to the mind, a pure state of mentation. Try to note that emotions are a different state of consciousness then the plane of the mind.

c. Now, recognize yourself as an integrated personality of physical, emotional and mental being.

4) Using your mind’s eye visualize your Soul as a glowing sphere of pure white light above your head. As you do this, endeavor to see the thread of light which connects your being to the Soul.

5) Extend your consciousness upward to the Soul. Feel the connection. Feel the Light of the Soul basking you in its love.

Notice and envelope yourself in the state of pure, deep peace.

Realize that the Soul radiates the Light of Divinity.

Meditate for 5 minutes on establishing a stronger conduit of light between the Soul and your three lower bodies. Contemplate on what effect that might have on your everyday being.

5) After meditating for five minutes say aloud the following invocation: "May the energy of the Divine Self inspire me and the Light of the Soul direct."

6) Then inaudibly and in the achieved silence, sound the Sacred Word, the OM, three times, listening as you sound it internally, and imagining it as being sounded by the Soul. The Soul breathes out the sound and passes it through all three bodies and thus out into the world , carrying love and power.

7) Now close your meditation by thanking your Creator for guiding, protecting and directing you during this meditation and ask that He guide, protect and direct you during every moment of your day.

8) Slowly open your eyes, quietly stretch your legs and arms and firmly root your consciousness and awareness back on the physical plane.

Hello Shantika,

Thank you for your friendship. I am currently working on a seven book series entitled "Pathways to the Soul", with the first book "The Art of Relating" finished and ready to publish.

Some of what is written above is taken from the first book.

It is in doing research for the third book in the series, on peace, that I stumbled across this website...what a treasure!

Just saw a brilliant youtube movie called The Beautiful Green. It's about people visiting a polluted earth from a peaceful and wholesome planet. You can see the trailor at the link below. At the finish of the trailor, you can view the 9 parts if you have the time, it's well worth it.

Aloha.
