Mornings are underrated. I consider them fundamental for the whole diurnal experience. What you do in the very first moments of your morning will fundamentally and inexorably shape your entire day. Most of the time you spend your mornings by routinely performing some habits, on auto pilot. Hence, your days will routinely unfold towards you, the same way day after day, on auto pilot.
Consciously inserting your intentions in these very first moments will have a huge effect. Taking…
"Happiness can only come from inside of you and is the result of your love. When you are aware that no one else can make you happy and that happiness is the result of your love, this becomes the greatest mastery of the Toltecs, the Mastery of Love. " ~from the book The Mastery of Love MARuiz

An Open Letter to President Barack Obama (12/12/09)
Dear Mr. President,
Some time ago, I watched you make a brilliant speech about the cycle of racism, and the potential we have to break that cycle. It gave me hope that one day you would… Continue

Heaven exists when our spiritual eyes are open, when we perceive the world through the eyes of truth. Once lies hook our attention, our spiritual eyes are closed. We fall from the dream of heaven and begin to live the dream of hell.

I wrote this short poem just after the Tsunami hit back in 2005. As we've just passed the fourth anniversary, I thought it was appropriate to post it here. Whether it's about Tsunamis or Earthquakes, the words still fit.
A SURVIVOR’S LAMENT

Claim me not yon winter’s tide
Your wrath cuts sway yet does not hide
The palm bends nigh as I embrace its girth
Its roots hold fast beneath the earth
~to double your wealth without gambling or stock-jobbing. " Share it. Whether it be material or intellectual, its rapid increase will amaze you. What would the sun have been had he folded himself up in darkness? Surely he would have gone out. So would Socrates.

It was for the children, the neglected and abused I once started my Network ”The Child Within”
It was for those I once started my groups about The ”Barefoot Children” and our inner child .
These groups will no longer be here.
But for those of you who think it is necessary and important to care about children in general and the vulnerable children in particular. I hope this shows by your joining "The Child Within"…Continue
One of the major contributions which determines and distinguishes a great movie from a not-so-great movie is location. When moving home, it’s all about location, location, location. We live in a three-dimensional world with great emphasis put on the material aspects of life. So why not make the most of it? Being there (location) is what triggers our five natural senses so that we can experience – and enjoy – the environment. Our emotions complete the job in hand and help us to tread new paths… Continue

Metta, or lovingkindness, is one of the most important Buddhist practices. Simply stated, metta is the heartfelt wish for the well-being of oneself and others. When describing metta, the Buddha used the analogy of the care a mother gives her only child. Lovingkindness is also understood as the innate friendliness of an open heart. Its close connection to friendship is reflected in its similarity to the Pali… Continue

Armies are tools of violence;
They cause men to hate and fear.
The sage will not join them.
His purpose is creation;
Their purpose is destruction.
Weapons are tools of violence,
Not of the sage;
He uses them only when there is no choice,
And then calmly, and with tact,
For he finds no beauty in them.
Whoever finds beauty in weapons
Delights in the slaughter of men;
And who delights in slaughter
Cannot content himself… Continue

Several days ago I discovered a blog post written on Jan. 23 (group My Peace, page n.4 ) that David had posted on the group he created.
I had been thinking, along with thousands of others, was there a reason that David closed down iPeace for a day? I thought, "Where can I find a clue about what motivated him to do so, maybe on the group he started?
In the blogpost David talks about the donations (very few) to Haiti. Take a look at it. It just may be the "reason" for… Continue
