Life is amazing, experience it!

Through the last few months of my life I have learned so much. I guess you could use the widely used term that I have “awakened” or in other terms I have begun to remember what life is, what it is about and that everything is life is about the experience and what an amazing experience it has been.

As some of you may know from my previous writings life wasn’t easy for Shayne. I have been through many tribulations and through these tribulations have come my greatest triumphs. The… Continue

We Have a Choice

Even if you cannot control what happens to you, you are ultimately in charge of how you choose to respond. ~ Unknown

This is so simple yet true. We may not be in control of what happens to us and the world around us, but we definitely have the ability to choose how we respond. I know for me this is not always easy to remember (I'm a stubborn Aquarian after all ;). Yet, I am beginning to see that as I allow what comes to come and I choose to respond in peaceful, joyful and… Continue

Dearest Majed,

Today is Israel's Birthday...61 years old..i am happy for this day and wish i could offer you wishes for a Happy Birthday for Palestine too. I remember when the Oslo Agreements were signed and i saw Palestinians riding on the main road by the kibbutz with Palestinian flags..I was both shocked and happy..Shocked because it was such an impressive display of power..and it took a few seconds to realize that power is not always bad. People empowered can be happy and… Continue

A view from Washington DC

This is a report from a bi-racial South African woman who assisted me in May 2004 when I conducted a series of script development workshops in Johannesburg to improve the screenplay of SKIN. She now lives in Washington DC and attended last week's packed screenings at Filmfest DC. I asked her to do a Q&A on my behalf, as I was unable to attend. There seems to have been quite a large South African contingent at the screening!

I thought you might be interested in the audience… Continue

Against Weapons & Nuclear Armament and For Peace and Disarmament.

I am against Weapons & Nuclear Armaments. I may sound Vehement in my expressions here. I just call them "Monkeys", with violent instincts and you just can't expect them to find a way out for a peaceful existance. Can't blame them also if we go deep into their history. They have only kill, grab and rule in their history and killers are their heros and guns are their toys and what else can we expect from them? So friends let us think first, feel for the events that is happening, feel for the… Continue

Spirit Meet Action

“The whole human species is on trial now. These next few decades will determine whether or not our species is a locust species or a bumblebee species. We’ll either scour this planet to the bones and destroy our own civilization and most other species, or we will find a way to bring ourselves back into harmony with our mother, with the earth.” - Van Jones

We live in a time when things are getting better and better and worse and… Continue

Conversations with God?

Posted on April 19th, 2009 by shayne

Yes my firends I am talking about God!

We all know the word and through religion or spirituality we all have a preconcieved thought of what God is, or at least what we think it is.

Is it male, is it female? Is it all loving? Does it promote fear? Does it only love some? Does it promote hate, prejuduce or discrimination?

The answer to all these questions is… Continue

NO MORE EXCUSES! GET LIVING!

As I sit here at my desk thinking about the “old me”, or in other words the “me” before I discovered that I was literally in my own way - by in my own way I mean I was the only one ever standing in the way of my life’s purpose or Dharma.

Every time I was asked what I wanted to do, I was ridden with total anxiety and fear. I had extremely low self esteem and was dealing with a deep depression. I thought that where I came from or my past limited my future potential or made me unworthy… Continue
