I have noticed so many people from all over the world utilizing this sacred greeting originating in India. I thought it would be a great idea to write a small blog on its meaning.

Pronounced "Nam-as-stay".

From the ancient sanskrit, its meaning is quite profound.

An Indian greeting, simply translated, "I bow to the divine in you"; from the root words:

Namas - bow, reverential salutation…

How did I come to be…

Deep within the blue serenity of…

I would never send my son to war

A war that’s not worth fighting for

Someone else’s battle cry

Won’t take the apple of my eye

Who knows whose hand stirred up this mess

To dig into their spoils no less

Cause all this bloodshed and the pain

For no good reason once again…

Hear the sound of broken, wounded souls crying in the night
